Study on progenies (F2- F6) for obtaining lines

Genetic segregation for quantitative and qualitative traits of rice will be started from F2 generation and it can be continue in next years. During segregation, different variations between parental trails observed and with evaluation of plants in different growth stages, some plants with suitable morphological characteristics and without disease selected, by pedigree method. In this study, 33 mass of generation F2 in three years (2002,2003 and 2004), 317 lines in year 2002 (106 generation F3, 140 generation F4, 60 generation F5, 11 generation F6), 324 lines in year 2003 (92 lines F3, 58 lines F4, 105 lines F5, 71 lines F6, 2 lines F7 ), 344 lines in year 2004 (94 lines F3, 58 lines F4, 34 lines F5, 71 lines F6, 87 lines F7 ) in add lines 985. The number 788 lines for selected estimation in 2005. During three years (2002,2003 and 2004) 53 pure lines with suitable characteristics selected and shifted to observational nursery for disease 96 lines evaluated for susceptible to blast and resistant line were selectede.g. 2764- 1-7-1-1 (IR36/KHAZAR), 2763- 18-3-1-3 (IR36/DOMSYA) with scor 2 for blast resistance, line 2761-7-2 (IR56/DOMSYA) with score 6. The best for grain lines quality were NEDA/DOMSYA (27610-33-1-2). The lines with suitable quantitative characteristics, including IR36/KHAZAR (2763-1-2-1) and Neda/Domsya (2710-3-2-1).
