Bean bug (Riptortus clavatus Thunberg) and weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis L.) severely causes damage to mungbean during the reproduction periods and storge, respectively. 'Jangannogdu', bred for weevil by the National Institute Crop Science, has resistance to the bean bug. The object of this study was to obtain the basic information for the resistance compounds with the near-isogenic lines, 'Jangannogdu' (resistant line) and 'Keumsungnogdu' (susceptible).
