Impact of ensiling agents on the quality of grass silages

The research material was constituted by grass fodder, ensiled in mini silos (height of 49 cm, diameter of 15 cm) with various additions. It was noted during the research that the protein degradation degree decreased, and milk acid content increased. The eenergy value of tested silages ranged from 0.84 to 0.86 UFL/kg dry matter as well as 0.78 to 0.79 UFC/kg dry matter, the PDIE value of experimental silages was higher than that of the control silage. Silages were stable, regardless of which ensiling agent was applied
