Eriophyoid mites (Acari: Eriophyoidea) from sedges (Carex spp., Cyperaceae) in Serbia

The aim of this paper is to present the results of observation of the eriophyoid mite fauna on Carex spp. in Serbia during the period of 2005-2007. Six species of eriophyoid mites (Acari: Eriophyoidea) are recorded new to the fauna of Serbia: Phytoptus liroi, Phytoptus hirtae, Novophytoptus rostratae, Novophytoptus glyceriae, Eryophyes lentiginosus, and Leipothrix hirtus.
