Significant oily plants, in the world, and in our country, are sunflower, soybean and rare. In our production area, compared to the surface and extent of production, production of sunflower predominates, followed by production of soya and rape. Sunflower is not produced for own purposes, due to the fact that the majority of producers chose contracted production with oil companies. The data obtained show significant improvement in the sunflower production competitiveness related to other production lines in crop farming.
