The paper considers one of the largest and oldest green areas in Novi Sad (Serbia). Futoski Park represents an extremely valuable green oasis within the urban structure of Novi Sad. The park was legally placed under protection by Futoski Park Preservation Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 23/2005) as category of the 3rd natural good. Its richness reflects in 107 different species, variants and forms of trees with its spacial distribution in the form of small groups, massive, alleys, and high-rise compositions. Based on the performed explorations, it has been generally concluded that the vitality and decorative effect of the whole dendroflora make the Park a unique ecologic and ambient unit within the urban structure of the city.
