This master thesis deals with simulations of synchronous motors in asynchronous regime. Different asymmetries are realized with the help of models which appeared in the following cases: at asynchronous starting, synchronization, the sudden change of load and break the current of the exciting coils. This work presents in detail the theoretical background important for understanding this thesis. A concrete synchronous motor is simulated in this thesis. Following the simulation the diagrams were drawn showing the change of effective values of the current at the asynchronous start using complex equations. The aim was to prove the validity of the model which was used. Based on the results of the simulation a novel approach is made: the appropriate polarity of the supply voltage of exciting coils was determined. The results of the experiments are identical with the results of the simulations, whereby the suitability of model is proven.
