The authors determined the proline content in seeds, their germinating capacity and productivity of obtained plants in buckwheat (Fagopyntm esculentum Moenc. Aromat variety) after treatment by pulse pressure (PP) and low temterature. At the PP of 11 mega Pa the proline content raises in 1.5-4.0 times and the increase of productivity is 12 %. The action PP of 29 MPa causes the inhibition of growth, proline metabolism and death to 28 % of seeds; at the same time the productivity of obtained plants raised on 53 %. The temperatures +4 and 0 deg C during 24 hours result in inhibition of germinating capacity and productivity, the temperature -4 deg C result in the death more than 90 % of seeds in spite of 2.5-fold increase in proline content. PP of 11 mega Pa promote to adaptation of seeds to action of low temperature, 29 mega Pa - increases the damaging effect
