Field experiments were hold in the Kaluga Region. The potato variety Nevskij was grown on podzol medium loamy soil. The standard technology included treatments by fungicides and insecticides. The follow preparations were used: Binoram (a liquid microbiological fungicide containing live Pseudomonas bacteria and also a complex of ammonium humates and phosphates and microelements) and Biosil (a plant growth substance, water emulsion containing biologically active components particularly triterpene acids extracted of Abies sibirica). The tubers were treated by Binoram at a rate of 0.075 l per 1000 kg 48 hours before planting. The microbiological preparation Agat-25K (0,135 l per 1000 kg) and the fungicide Maksim (25 g per l) at a rate of 0.4 l per 1000 kg were used as standards to compare. Biosil and Bioram were applied also together (0.025 l per 1000 kg) 72 hours before planting. The standards were Maksim and TMTD (4.5 l per 1000 kg). About 50% of the plant material was infected by common scab. About 32 of seed potato were infected by bare patch (the disease development level was 9.4%). Plant germination increased by 21.7%, bare patch development decreased more than in 2 times and yield addition was 24.6%. The biological efficiency of the standard preparations was the same or higher a little. The germination increased by 11-12% at Binoram and Biosil combined applying. The tubers of a new yield were infected by bare patch in 4 times less than the control ones. Scab development also significantly decreased. Yield addition was 21.6%. The biological efficiency of the preparations was comparable with the one of fungicides. The conclusion is that the studied protective measures can be included in a technology of potato growing because they minimize damage of fungicides that they do toward environment and the measures are of high profitability.
