Submitted paper deals with the problem related to investigation of spatial variability (within-field variability) concerning a) selected soil characteristics (e.g. organic carbon content, soil texture, etc.) and b) another measured characteristics concerning the landscape character (digital terrain model - DTM and NDVI vegetation index). Moreover, the paper attends to identify the character and significance of existing interrelations within the weather-soil-plant system with special emphasis on selected soil properties and winter wheat yield interdependence with the aim to demonstrate, cover and assess differences of winter wheat yield within-field spatial variability in 2005 and 2006. The experiment has been performed at test site - Selice (Agrodivízia Selice, Ltd.), on selected parcel Žihárec 0001/1 with area of 131.2 ha during two different vegetation periods - in 2005 and 2006. The result of experiments confirmed the existence of within-field spatial variability related to observed soil properties. As well, achieved results indicated significant dependence between the soil properties and winter wheat yield (the yield amount and yield detail spatial variability) and at the same time indicated significant role of the weather in relations within the weather-soil-plant system. In general, due to different weather conditions during two vegetation periods, different correlations between the selected soil characteristics and real winter wheat yield were observed.
