Sedimentation rate in Pattani Bay in 2002 was studied by determination of Cs-137 content in samples collected from 9 locations in Pattani Bay, Pattani province. It was found that the sedimentation rate was in the range of 5.44 +- 0.10 to 8.25 +- 0.12 mm/year. The high sedimentation rate was found in the Ban Budee, Ban Talho Samila and Aou Bangpu while low rate was found in the Pattani Bay mouth area. If the sedimentation rate in Pattani Bay exists in the range found, Pattani Bay possibly shallows and eventually turns to be land in the next 200 years.
