The abilities of different type agricultural plants to accumulate heavy metals in their organs are also different. А higher metal concentration is registered in the roots, in comparison with their aboveground parts. Usually, the heavy metal accumulation in the plant tissues is lineary dependent on the dose of the applied metal into the soil. The heavy metal accumulation is dependent also on the nature of the same element – some of them are less mobile, their translocation into the plant organs is difficult, and other – more mobile, which accumulation in the plants is magnified. The presence of some metal in the soil can be a depressing factor on the mobility of some other element and, on the contrary – to has a positive effect on its accumulation. Another important factor is the distance from the pollution source: the accumulation is decreased with the distance growth. The usage of the agricultural plants for the phytoremediation purposes of polluted lands requires a careful choice of suitable culture, according to its accumulative abilities and its biomass size also.
