The aim of the present study was to define the duration and milk production during the different periods of the lactation and the effect of the number of lactation at ewes from Synthetic Population Bulgarian Milk. The research was conducted with 137 ewes from Synthetic Population Bulgarian Milk reared in Institute of animal science – Kostinbrod. It was recorded the milk yield of the ewes on the firs, second, third and fourth lactations. The milk was controlled and calculated according to official AC method of ICAR. It was measurement 1233 individual controls during the suckling and milking period. It was recorded the days of the suckling period and the days after 120 days milking period to the end of the lactation and whole for lactation. It was calculated the suckling, 120 days standard milk yield, the milk after 120 days milking period to the end of the lactation and the lactation milk yield. The obtained information was calculated by EXCEL, 2003.The effects of the investigated factors were established by least square methods - ANOVA. It was established significant effect of the number of the lactation on the milk yield during the different periods of lactation - P 0.01, P 0.001 and the lack of the significant effect on the duration of the different periods of the lactation. Also it was defined the duration of the lactation period 259 days, witch included – suckling (63 days), the standard milking 120 days, the period after 120 day to the end of lactation 77 days and milking period 197 days. It was established the milk yield during the different periods of the lactation – suckling 79.59 l, the milk yield after 120 days to the end of the lactation - 49 l, milking - 156 l and lactation milk yield 235.61 l.
