Comparison of microspore development between cytoplasmic male sterile line and container line in cabbage | 结球甘蓝胞质雄性不育系与保持系小孢子发育的比较

Chino. 以结球甘蓝胞质雄性不育系99-A及其保持系99-B为试材,采用石蜡切片技术,对结球甘蓝胞质雄性不育系的花粉败育过程进行了研究。结果表明:与雄性不育保持系99-B相比,不育系99-A的减数分裂行为基本正常,大多能发育至四分体时期,少数能发育到小孢子阶段;但在减数分裂前期,不育系99-A绒毡层细胞便开始肥大生长和液泡化,到小孢子时期绒毡层细胞肥大和液泡化达到最大程度,药室内的小孢子相互粘连、集聚,随后小孢子便退化解体,药室干缩,彻底败育。[著者文摘]

Using paraffin slice techniques,the process of meiotic behavior and microspore abortion in cytoplasmic male-sterile line 99-A of cabbage were studied.The result showed that most of microspore mother cells could develop into the tetrad stage and a few could develop to the single nucleus microspore stage in male-sterile line 99-A.But compared with the male container line 99-B,the tapetum cells in the male sterile line began to overgrow with vacuole during early meiotic prophase and the overgrowth reached the peak before or after microspore formation,and at the same time the microspores were adhered and centralized one another,finally the anther became shrinking and the microspores disaggregating completely.
