PROTEIN, VITAMINS AND MINERALS NUCLEI (NUPROVIM) FOR FATTENING PIGS FED DIETS BASED ON SUGAR CANE FINAL MOLASSES | NUCLEOS DE PROTEINAS, VITAMINAS Y MINERALES Y MINERALES (NUPROVIM) EN LA CEBA DE CERDOS ALIMENTADOS CON DIETAS BASADAS EN MIEL FINAL DE CAÑA

Para determinar la efectividad de diferentes formulaciones de núcleos de proteínas, vitaminas y minerales (NUPROVIM) en dietas basadas en miel final de caña de azúcar, se organizaron en un diseño de bloque al azar un total de 30 cerdos híbridos comerciales del cruce Yorkshire x Landrace x Duroc, en igual proporción de sexos con un peso vivo de 28.1 kg. Los animales se alojaron colectivamente por sexo en seis corrales para conformar tres grupos de 10 animales por tratamiento. Los tratamientos estuvieron fueron tres variantes de NUPROVIM elaborados a partir de harina de soya. En el primer tratamiento se usó zeolita (NUPROVIM 2) y en el segundo se emplearon subproductos de molinería de trigo (NUPROVIM 7). Ambos tratamientos se compararon con otro con una formulación de soya plus minerales y vitaminas (NUPROVIM 1). Los núcleos se suministraron en forma restringida, humedecidos con agua y una vez al día con oferta de miel final ad libitum. Es de recomendar el uso de núcleos del tipo NUPROVIM 2 y 7 en ceba de cerdos alimentados con miel final en reemplazo de la fórmula convencional de NUPROVIM 1.

The effectiveness of different formulations or protein, vitamins and minerals nuclei (NUPROVIM) in diets for fatting pigs based on final cane molasses was determined in 30 commercial hybrid pigs of the genotype Yorkshire x Landrace x Duroc, female and castrate male animals in the same proportion and an initial live weight of 28.1 kg. The animals were housed by sex in six pens to arrange two pens and therefore 10 pigs per treatment. There were three treatments consisting of three alternative formula of NUPROVIM containing soybean meal. In the first treatment (NUPROVIM 2) the nucleus contained zeolite whereas in the second treatment NUPROVIM 7 was formulated to contain wheat milling by-products. Both experimental NUPROVIM were compared to NUPROVIM 1 prepared only with soybean meal. The nuclei were given humid once per day, and thereafter sugar cane final molasses was given ad libitum to the pigs. The use of NUPROVIM 2 and 7 should be used for fattening pigs fed final molasses in replacement of NUPROVIM 1.
