To decrease using of herbicides, because of high cost and environmental pollution, new approaches are required. In this study barely genotypes with different levels of density in weed interference (WI) and weed free (WF) conditions were evaluated. Experiment was conducted in factorial based on RCBD with 4 replications in 2 locations ( Kermanshah and Maragheh) during 3 years (2004-07). Factors were included : genotypes (4 advanced genotype and check), density (350, 400 and 450 p/m2), and weed conditions ( WI and WF). Kermanshah results showed that G4 with 3938 kg/ha grain yield was significantly better than check (sararood-1). Considering Weed Interference Tolerance Index (WITI), G4 and G1 were better than others, so G4 because of its high yield performance and WITI, and G1 for its high WITI and yield equal to check, can be selected. Miragheh result showed, non-significant differences among evaluated genotypes. Whereas, considering WITI sahand and G4 were better than others. Results of both locations showed non-significant effect of density on grain yield, but there was an ascending trend from low to high density on grain yield. WITI was the highest in highest level of density (450 p/ m2). Considering nonsignificant effect of density on grain yield and increasing of WITI in high density, using of further density can be applied as a method to weed controlling in these genotypes.
