This experiment was carried out to get the basic information regarding the rice varietal variation of amylose content, protein content, alkali digestive value and moisture content for 154 Korean native and introduced Japonica from China by the days from seeding to heading. The used materials could be grouped into 5 varietal groups based on their maturing group such as extremely early maturing(less than 100 of DSH), early maturing(101-110 of DSH), medium maturing(111-120 of DSH), late maturing(121-130 of DSH), and extremely late maturing(more than 131 of DSH). The amylose content and alkali digestive value showed negative significant correlations in all varietal groups. The protein content and moisture content showed also negative significant correlation in all varietal groups except extremely late maturing group. The moisture content and alkali digestive value showed positive correlation in all varietal groups except medium maturing group. The frequency distributions of amylose content at each varietal groups classified by the days from seeding to heading more than 60 percent were appeared from 17% to 20% of amylose content. The protein content of extremely early maturing group revealed higher than any other varietal groups based on the varietal groups. The protein content was getting decreased by the varietal groups from extremely early maturing to extremely late maturing, The moisture content was getting increased from early maturing to late maturing late maturing. The alkali digestive value also was getting increased from extremely early to extremely late maturing.
