The researches were carried out in the reproductive hen farm and the assessment covered 3 hen flocks of Cobb strain and 2 flocks Ross strain as well as day-old chickens from these hens. In each flock the serological monitoring was performed with the ELISA tests to evaluate the presence of antibodies against the REO and IBD viruses in blood serum. The examined hens were immunized under the accepted preventive immunization program. The monitored one-day-old chickens showed sufficient immunity against the REO and IBD viruses which resulted from appropriate maternal immunity. The reproductive hens of Cobb and Ross strain demonstrated efficient resistance towards the above mentioned viruses as they exhibited relatively high geometric titres and low variation coefficients (CV). The hens performance including egg-laying, hatching percent and fertilization percent in all the flocks were similar
