Influence of irrigation with sewage waters on changes in species composition of sward

The results of 7-years research conducted on the meadows Kupiski-Jednaczewo (Poland), ca 600 ha adapted to irrigations with sewage waters are presented in the paper. Sewage waters were applied in autumn after first cut in dose of 200-300 mm per year. Floristic composition of meadow sward in typical for this object habitats was determined with Klapp method in 10 deg scale whereas yielding with tentative method. It was shown, that sward irrigated with sewage waters was characterized by diverse floristic composition, presence of many grass species, papilionaceous, herbs and weeds. However only some species were dominants of sward, other appeared in less quantities
