The aim of this research was to determine the influence of nitrogen fertilization dose and sowing rate on grain yield and some of the properties which determine the value of animal feed of naked short-shoot oat. The response of studied oat to sowing rates and nitrogen rates were investigated in field experiment in 2005-07. It was stated that on a good wheat soil the increase of the nitrogen dose from 60 to 90 kg N/ha had no influence on grain yield, protein and fat yield. The application of sowing rate 5.5 mln seed/ha in comparison to 3.5 mln seeds/ha increased the grain yield, protein and fat yield
