Fractions of phosphorus in the forest Luvisols of the South Podlasie Lowland [Poland]

The aim of this work was the comparison of three sequential extraction methods (Tessier et al. in own modification, Zeien and Bruemmer, Hedley in modification by Tiessen and Moir) to separation of selected fractions of phosphorus. The study was conducted on three profiles of Luvisols localized in the forests of the South Podlasie Lowland. Four selected fractions of phosphorus (easily soluble, exchangeable, bounded to organic matter and residual) separated by investigation methods were compared. The results of these investigation have shown, that the sequential extraction procedures by Tessier et al. and by Zeien and Bruemmer can be used for assessment of chemical behaviour of the phosphorus compounds in environment
