The work presents research results regarding the determination of the fertility of soils situated in regions which in future may be affected by mining drainage. On the basis of the obtained data, it was found that the topsoil layer of the examined soils was characterized by low and moderate content of available macronutrients and medium quantities of manganese and zinc.
