Heavy metals fractions in soil situated along the Siedlce ring road [Poland]

The aim of this work was to assess the impact of road traffic on the total content of lead, chromium, zinc, nickel, cooper and their fractions in surface layers (0-20 cm) of soils situated along the ring road in Siedlce (Poland). The chcemical composition of investigated soils has shown that the road traffic has not negative influence on the soil environment. The content of analysed heavy metals in the surface layers not crossed the standard limit for arable soils in Poland
