The purpose of this study has been to compare the abundance of plant-available nutrient in soil depending on tillage system. In 2005-06 soil samples were collected from fields, which for the previous four years had been cultivated using the direct sowing method or traditionally. The soil samples were obtained from surface layer: 0-10, 10-20 and 20-30 cm and on three dates: in spring, summer and in autumn after harvest. it has been found that top soil layer under zero-tillage method differed significantly in concentration of available forms of K and Mg compared to the soil under traditional cultivation
