The plum psyllid is a poorly investigated and insufficiently described species in Serbian literature. This species is ordinarily found in the psyllid entomofauna, but its mass findings in stone fruit orchards are quite uncommon . The species is univoltine. Eggs are white and change colour to yellow and yellow-orange. Larvae are typically psyllid, and change colour from light green to dark brown. The adult is almost transparent after eclosion, but finely coloured in dark brown. The reimmigrant adult has a dark-coloured body and dark wings. The plum psyllid is economically significant as a vector of European stone fruit Phytoplasma.
