Laboratory investigations of the biology of the sand fly, Phlebotomus neglectus, including bionomic factors collected on the life history, behavior and feeding preferences of this species and the characteristics of its developmental biology are presented. In addition, we quantified the parameters of the population dynamics and life history of this species under laboratory conditions which are crucial for a better understanding of this role as a vector of Leishmania parasites in the eastern Mediterranean zones.
