Through this paper, our aim was to study the frequency and determine the antimicrobial susceptibility rates of Staphylococcus intermedius isolates from the Otitis externa of household dogs in Nis (Serbia). The causes of infections came from family of Enterobacteriaceae, the genus Staphylococcus, the genus Enterococcus and nonfermentative bacteria. S. intermedius was the most frequently isolated bacterium from dogs' skin infection in Nis. Our results show that S. intermedius had the highest susceptibility to the ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, amikacin and, the smallest susceptibility rates were to penicillin. Professional medical care and microbiology diagnostic are recommended. If the microbiology diagnostic is unavailable, use of the results of antimicrobial susceptibility of S. intermedius for particular geographical region is recommended.
