Mother cutting plantations (MOP) were laid out by the standard 2-year nursery transplants of the honeysuckle varieties Goluboje Vereteno (GV) and Siniya Ptitsa (SP). Nursery transplants landed according the chart of 1.6 x 0.25 m into ribs sloping southward under the corner of 45 deg. A complex of the necessary works was done during a vegetation period. The chits were bent down to soil surface and they formed a mother tuft (MT). Pine sawdusts were applied (1000 cubic m/ha). The first light hilling was done in spring of the next year (the 2 and the 3 ten-day period of May) and it was combined with weeding of the MT area. Substrate was raked up close to the MT at hilling, but the last was not earth up. When vertical cuttings arrived at a height no less than 0.1-0.15 m, earthing up by moist substrate was done. There were 3-4 hillings for a season and a hill height was 0.25-0.30 m above the earth level. At the end of October - November cuttings were hilling away and dug up. The cutting output hesitated from 175 000 per ha (GV) to 281 000 per ha in the 1 year of OMP exploitation. In the 2 year the substantial increase of OMP productivity was marked: it was higher by 11.4% and 82.3% for the varieties SP and GV respectively. On the 3 year the output reached 39 100 per ha (GV) and 170 800 (SP). Decline of the productivity on the 3 year of exploitation was related to violation of the irrigation mode. The maximal cutting output of the 1 and 2 classes was characteristic for the variety SP (10.8% and 62.3% respectively) on the average for 3 years. The cuttings of GV had the best indexes of a height and area of root forming and the ones of SP had the best indexes of a shoot diameter and a total length of roots. The grade of SP was concluded to be more suitable to obtain cuttings by the intensive technology. It is possible to obtain over 200 000 of marketable nursery transplants per ha.
