The study was aimed at virgin meadow steppes of the Stavropol highland and agrolandscapes made by human – so called agrosteppes. Flora cenotic indices of steppe vegetation of stationary or semi-stationary plots testified that the studied communities are stable, including the populations of rare species are well preserved in them. The reintroduction of rare species by the seed method were carried out in phyrocoenoses of 3 types: agrosteppe, combined coenosis of agrosteppe and perennial varietal grasses and coenosis of varietal grasses. At the year 3 after sowing sprouts and juvenile individuals of 5 species: California needle grass (Stipa pulcherrima), Double fernleaf peony (Paeonia tenuifolia), stool iris (Iris aphylla) and Iris notha and snowdrop anemone (Anemone sylvestris). Needle grass most occurs in combined agrocoenoses, peony – in food grass agrocoenoses. In tye dsitric Uvarova gora an agrosteppe was established on the area of 10 ha in 1980. By 2008 in the agrosteppe there were 67-75 cpecies of higher plants per 100 m, among them 9 species is listed in the Red Book. All species are in blossom, bear fruit and give self-seed crops. It is concluded that in the condition of agrosteppe the preservation in the seed way of rare and dangerous species is possible. Simultaneously the self-reproduction of genofond of food grasses goes. The costs of producing agresteppe are minimal. The agrosteppe strips having the width of 7 m horizontally placed on slopes actually entirely prevent soil erosion. The reintroduction of steppe framments in agricultural landscapes improve the biodiversity of coenosis, promotes involving useful entomofauna and overall improving the ecological situation
