Plants of Triticum durum Desf. were grown in sandy culture on medium with lowered (1) and optimal (2) content of mineral nutrients. Later the level of mineral nutrients was raised for some plants grown on the 1 medium. Two days before the mentioned change the plants were inoculated by Bacillus subtilis IB-22 producing cytokinins. The rate of biomass accumulation (SBA) lowered and correlated with cytokinin content both in roots and shoots under influence of nutrient deficient. The SBA of noninoculated plants increased with raise of nutrient level. At the end of experiment green weight of their shoots was higher in 1.5 times in compare with the plants with nutrient deficient, but it was lower by 20% in compare with the plants grown on the 2 medium. Inoculation resulted in significant increase of cytokinins level in the shoots in compare with the plants of the all other samples. The rate of growth and relative biomass gain of inoculated plants increased sharply under at raising of nutrient level. As the result these plants had the maximum shoot weight (dry and green) among the other samples at the end of experiment. Thus, it is shown that inoculation has a positive effect on growth when plants are transferred from critical mineral nutrient medium to adequate one.
