The efficiency of a new nitrogen fertilizer form, ASN 32-0-05, was studied in laboratory and microfield experiments. The application of the new fertilizer form decreased the removal of nitrogen from the soil compared to ammonium nitrate. The new fertilizer is safe with respect to explosions and fires compared to ammonia nitrate. The loss of nitrogen ammonium of the studied nitrogen fertilizers applied to soil was 1.3-2.9 times less compared to nitrogen nitrate. The maximum amount of nitrogen ammonia passed into a water extract from all soils when applied ammonium sulfate. In the micro-field experiments applying nitrogen fertilizer promoted great accumulation of biomass of wheat plants. The nitrogen fertilizer forms truly equally influenced the true increase of 1000 wheat grain mass, the content of crude protein and crude gluten. The uptake of N and S with plants when applied the nitrogen fertilizer in the main vegetation phases was much greater than in the control. It was shown that ASN was as good as or, in some cases, better than the conventional nitrogen fer¬tilizers in the effect on the yield and quality of spring wheat grain. Its nitrogen was better uptaken by plants; its coefficient of use was higher than that of ammonium nitrate by 21%. It is concluded that as to the influence on the yield of spring wheat ASN is competitive and in some cases exceeds the standard nitrogen fertilizers
