A field experiment was conducted at Gezira Research Station Farrm in season 2006/07 to evaluate the efficacy of the fungicides Sharben 50% WP and Jiamyl 50% WP (new formulations of benomyl) for the control of powdery mildew caused by Sphaerotheca fuliginea on snake cucumber. The fungicides at all tested rates significantly reduced disease incidence and severity compared to the untreated control. In the post _ 3rd spray observations, the medium rate of Sharben and Jiamly resulted in significantly lower disease incidence compared to the lower rate and had disease incidence comparable to that of the higher rate and the counterpart (Pilarben). The medium rate of Sharben and Jiamyl had lower disease severity than the other rates, though the differences were not significant. Although there were no significant differences in yield among the different dosage rates of the tested fungicides and the counterpart, the medium and higher dosage rates of Sharben and the medium dosage rate of Jiamyl had significantly higher yields than the untreated control
