The aim of this retrospective study, based on the data from the archive of the Institute of Pathology, Forensic and Administrative Veterinary Medicine of Veterinary Faculty in Ljubljana, was to estimate the correlation between epidemiological parameters such as gender, age and breed of dogs that died of canine parvovirosis, and the months of a year in which they died. 84 dogs, aged 1 month to 4 years, of both genders and 27 different breeds, which died of canine parvovirosis from January 1987 to January 2005, were included in the study. Results of this descriptive study suggest that the age of dogs and the time of year when death occurred were correlated with canine parvovirosis while there was no correlation between gender or breed and incidence of death due to canine parvovirosis.
