This paper deals with determination of disintegrating effect of grinding stations on grist in wheat mill. From gathered information we can assume that detected degree of disintegration on first and middle passages of the mill meets all requirements for gradual grinding of wheat into wanted products. The endosperm stuck to grain hull is grinded in the last three passages of examined mill. Here the increased average size of particles was found out based on the sieve analysis. This is caused by releasing small number of small endosperm particles from the hulí while the hull and the rest of endosperm are mashed on greater area. These are caught by sieves with greater holes. Results of disintegrating effect of mills are complemented with qualitative characteristics of grist during the grinding process. These enable more effective completion of edible products destined for further processing.
