This study was carried out with the aim of determination of the poisoning level from organophosphate pesticides of farmers producing tobacco and vineyard in Izmir and Manisa Provinces and investigation of the role of paraoxonase genotype on protection of the farmers. Farmers were examined by physician of internal diseases and neurology and their blood samples were taken before and after the period of pesticide treatments. Totally 93 blood samples before the treatments and 65 blood samples after the treatments were taken from tobacco and vineyard farmers. The farmers were trained in the terms of taking the blood samples.

Bu proje İzmir ve Manisa illerinde tütün ve bağ yetiştiriciliğiyle uğraşan üreticilerin organik fosforlu pestisitlerden zehirlenme düzeyinin belirlenmesi ve üreticilerin korunmasında Paraoksanoz genotipinin rolünün araştırılması amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Üreticiler ilaçlama öncesi ve sonrası dönemlerde nörolojik ve dahiliye yönünden muayene edilmiş ve kan örnekleri alınmıştır. Tütün ve bağ üreticilerinden ilaçlama öncesi toplam 92 kan örneği ve ilaçlama sonrası 65 kan örneği alınmıştır. Örneklerin alındığı dönemlerde üretici eğitimleri gerçekleştirilmiştir.
