Determining the effects of day degree units on yield, yield component and fiber quality characteristics on various cotton varieties | Farklı pamuk (Gossypium hirsutum L.)çeşitlerinde gün-derece değerlerinin verim,verim unsurları ve lif kalite özelliklerine etkisinin saptanması

This study was carried out to determine effect of Day Degree units on yield, yield components and fiber quality characteristics at Agricultural Faculty's experimental field of Adnan Menderes University in 1997, 1998 and 1999. Field trials were conducted in Randomised Complete Block Design with three replications. Each plot was comprised of 4 rows in 12 m long with 70 cm apart from each other and plants 20 cm spaced on a row. In this study, Nazilli 84 (national standard variety), Deve Tüyü (brown fiber), Siokra 107B (okra leaf) varieties including G. hirsutum L. and G. hirsutum and G. barbadense crossing variety named Acalpi 1952 were used as a material. Our results show that cotton plants require 6.5 or 11.6 days and 35 or 66 Growing Degree Days from emergence to first true leaf growth period, 25 or 30 days and 232 or 270 Growing Degree Days from first true leaf to first square growth period, 17 or 21 days and 220 or 272 Growing Degree Days from first square to opening of the flower growth period, 58 or 64 days and 708 or 847 Growing Degree Days from opening of the flower to boll opening growth period. Above figures show respective minimum averages and maximum averages, respectively. In this study, 117.58 or 120.5 days and 1310.26 or 1386.18 Growing Degree Days were obtain at whole vegetation period.

Turco. Büyüme Gün-Derece (BGD) değerlerinin verim, verim unsurları ve lif kalite özelliklerine etkisinin saptanması amacıyla yapılan bu çalışma; 1997, 1998 ve 1999 yıllarında Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi araştırma alanında, tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre, üç tekerrürlü olarak, sıra arası 70 cm, sıra üzeri 20 cm, sıra uzunluğu 12 m olan 4 sıralı parsellerde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada materyal olarak, Gossypium hirsutum L. türüne ait Nazilli 84 (bölge standart çeşidi), Deve Tüyü (kahverengi lifli), Siokra 107 B (okra yapraklı) çeşitleri ile G. hirsutum ile G. barbadense melezi olan Acalpi 1952 çeşidi kullanılmıştır. Pamuk bitkisinin; Çimlenme-İGY dönemini 6.5 ile 11.6 gün ve 35 ile 66 BGD birikiminde, İGY-Taraklanma dönemini 25 ile 30 gün ve 232 ile 270 BGD birikiminde, Taraklanma-Çiçeklenme dönemini 17 ile 21 gün ve 220 ile 272 BGD birikiminde, Çiçeklenme-Koza Açma dönemini ise 58 ile 64 gün ve 708 ile 847 BGD birikiminde aştığı saptanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, vejetasyon süresi boyunca 117.58 ile 120.5 gün ve 1310.26 ile 1386.18 BGD toplam sıcaklık değeri elde edilmiştir.
