The experiment was conducted to determine the method of cultivation and nutrient management for Gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus) on passive hydroponics in the greenhouse of the Soils and Fertilizers Institute. Research results indicated that in three cycle, the cycle of pump 5 minutes and 120 minutes stopped pumping helped Gerbera grew best (in the medium containing coconut fiber waste and pumice). In three nutrient solutions used for the gerbera, which contained the same amount of secondary and micronutrients, the gerbera grew best and had the most flowers compared to the two others in the nutrient solution 3 containing 0.175 g N, 0.099 g P2O5 and 0.42g K2O per liter, which supplied the same amount in the vegetative and flowering stages. The closer the stage that the flowers formed, the greater gerbera absorbed NPK elements, partivularly nitrogen that increased by well-over 30% in gerbera stem 45 days after planting. Consequently, the amount of the essential nutrients in the solutions significantly declined, specially nitrogen. In fact, the content of N, P and K in the solutions remained about 50%, 60% and 40-80%, respectively. Meanwhile, electrical conductivity (EC) decreased from 2.7-2.9 in the beginning of planting to 1.5-1.6 mS/cm, which is an indicator shows the nutrient solutions in the containers should be changed.
