Determination of dependence of yielding capacity and quality of hop (Humulus lupulus) on its varietal peculiar properties, as well as the determination of its correlation dependence of the indices of hop cones productivity on the morphological indices of leaf area were realized. The highest level of hop yielding capacity was obtained from Hallertauer Magnum (Germany) and Marynka (Poland) varieties, but taking into consideration the content of alpha-acids and their yield per area unit it was concluded that that Hallertauer Magnum variety gained advantage and could be recommended for its wide use in the western region of the Republic of Belarus. The soil and climatic conditions of the Republic of Belarus are favourable for hop biological characteristic and could be used for high-quality hop production. In the observed conditions hop cones reached the technical maturity level in the third decade of August – the first decade of September. Hop productivity and alpha-acids yield (measured per unit of the area) first of all depended on the level of precipitations in course of hop vegetation period. Temperature factor did not render substantial effect on yielding capacity of cones, alpha-acids yield and content
