Опыт выращивания моллюсков Helix pomatia L.с использованием площади временно выведенного из эксплуатации рыбоводного пруда

Results of determination of perspectives of heliculture development at the temporarily taken out of service fish breeding ponds in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. Mature (3-4 years old) grapevine snail (Helix pomatia) shellfish species were used as a breeding stock, and were chosen in spring period from a natural population of the Naroch lake (Belarus). Research results showed that productivity of a shellfish area has increased up to 640 kg/ha (32,0 +/- 4,5% of general stocking density of yearlings) during two vegetation periods. The biological and economic efficiency of grapevine snail rearing was close to indexes of proper use of the analyzed fish pond breeding areas. Rearing of commercial output of Helix pomatia shellfish made it possible to take advantage of fish breeding areas. Spring rape and red clover were used for feeding of adult and young grapevine snails and allowed to achieve the total productivity of 100 centers/ha and more on the fertile soils. That was enough for producing of 10-20 centers/ha of shellfish products without application of additional of fodder sources. Research results showed that the working productivity of 3-4year-old species in the conditions of artificially formed pastures at the stage of two-year-old species output was 27 +/-2 units. The average weight of fingerlings was 2,7 +/- 0,55 (Sd = 0, 173, average fidelity - 93, 6%). From the area of 0,05 ha there was produced 80000 units of fingerlings (216 kg)
