In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were analyzed results of a long-term research on the effect of use of postharvest crops and straw ploughing on the productivity of cereal crops (barley (Hordeum vulgare); oat (Avena sativa)) in a specialized 8 cereal crop rotation with 75% of cereal crops and change of organic substance content of in soil. There was analyzed the following crop rotation: 1. winter rye (Secale cereale) + tilled crops; 2. barley; 3. winter rye + clover (Trifolium); 4. clover; 5. winter wheat (Triticum aestivum) + tilled crops; 6. oat; 7. barley + clover; 8. barley. It has been established, that in the crop rotation, in which cereal crops occupy 75% of the acreage, postharvest crops are recommended to be grown for forage as crop rotation efficiency and organic substance content in soil considerably increase in comparison with the use of postharvest crops for green manure. Straw ploughing at mineral system of fertilizers against the background of the usage of postharvest crops does not reduce the general productivity of cereal crop rotation and the content of organic substance in soil.
