In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus at all stages of agricultural development, the state pays special attention to agricultural mechanical engineers, because the progress in an agricultural branch depends on the increases in production and technical qualification of engineers and their number in agricultural enterprises. At present many agricultural producers lack both machinery and staff, which results in poor production-economic state of farms and renders negative influence on labour productivity in agricultural enterprises. The increase in the number of machines and staff will help to decrease load on existing workers and increase production efficiency. The correlation and regression model made it possible to reveal the most substantial factors which rendered influence on the quantity of mechanical engineers per tractor.
