There were established optimal norms of floor area and front of feeding with non-restrictive keeping of heifers, which helped to create more comfortable conditions for keeping animals and increase their average daily live weight gain in comparison with RNTP-1-2004 by 9,1%, the content of haemoglobin – by 4,8%, and the number of erythrocytes – by 6,3%. The division of the section area into the zone of rest and zone of feeding and establishing the norms of application of straw bedding: for heifers of 6-12 month of age in the amount of 2 kg per head daily; for 12-16-month-old heifers – 3 kg; and for 16-25-month-old heifers – 4 kg, - helps to increase their average daily live weight gain in comparison with RNTP-1-2004 by 6,4%, the content of haemoglobin – by 3,7% and the number of erythrocytes – by 5,6%.
