Garlic contamination by viruses GarCLV and OYDV and their distribution in plant organs | Зараженность чеснока вирусами CarCLV и OYDV и их распределение в органах растения

The aim of the research work was to determine in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus the absence or presence of GarCLV and OYDV viruses in different garlic (Allium sativum L.) cultivars and forms and to evaluate the GarCLV and OYDV content in different garlic organs.The studies showed that all garlic cultivars and forms were infected by GarCLV and OYDV except cultivar Petrovsky in which GarCLV was absent. The viruses were found in all plant organs but in different concentrations. High OYDV concentration in garlic cultivars was determined in sets except cultivar Hotimon and Zubrenok in which the maximum content of virus was in air bulbs and green leaves. The maximum GarCLV concentration was pointed out in bulb cloves in cultivars Gribovsky yubileyny, Dubkovsky, in air bulb in cultivars Hotimon and Antonnik, in sets in cultivar Zubrenok. The maximum OYDV content was registered in garlic forms Vch-1, IO-1, BD-1, MM-1, MV-1, MG-2, MG-3, MC-1, BC-1 in air bulbs. The maximum OYDV concentration in green leaves and bulb cloves was found in forms MG-1 and RFB-1. The concentration of OYDV in air bulbs of MG-1 and RFB-1 was a bit lower. In different garlic forms GarCLV was found in different organs.
