Español; castellano. .Se describe la forma de controlar la cioquez en !as gallinas semirrusticas. De un !ote de 400 hembras reproductoras fueron seleccionadas las ayes cluecas y trasladadas a un cuartón de 8 m2 con un comedero y un bebedero, sin nidal ni areas oscuras y camada de cascaras de arroz. Elconsumo de agua y pienso fue a voluntad y tuvieron un espacio vital entre 1 y 2,5 ayes por m2, dependiendo de la cantidad de gallinas cluecas. En el mismo cuartón fueron ubicados tambien cuatro gallos para establecer una proporción entre 1 y 4 hembras por macho. La se!ección de hembras cluecas se realiz6 un dia fijo de cada semana. A la eliminacion de la cloquez contribuyeron las peleas entre las propias aves y las frecuentes montas de los ga!los. La mayor cantidad de ayes c!uecas (5.1 %) se presento a las 35 semanas de edad, no obstante, este porcentaje disminuyo posteriormente hasta un nivel entre 2 y 3%que prevalecio durante el desarrollo del presente trabajo.

Said hens, after detected in their laying nests, are transferred to a house measuring 8 m2 provided with a feeding trough and a drinking bowl, without a nest or dark areas, and with rice hulls as litter. Water and feed cunsumption was at will,and a livingspace for 1, and 2.5 birds per m2, depending on the number of broody hens. In each house there were also four cocks, giving a proportion between 1 and 4 females per male. The selection of broody hens was carried out one day of the week, and when turning them ioose in the chosen area there were figths among them as well as matings by the cocks. Figths eventually decrease, but the matings continue. At the end of several weeks, all hens eliminate broodiness. Bythe 35 th week, the peak of broody hens was reached, with 5, 1%of breeding hens. Later on, a level between 2 and 3 % prevalied.
