Lettuce belongs to the family Asteraceae (compositae) and genus Lactuca. Of about 100 species of Lactuca have been identified wich only four species are the most important breeding group. They include L. sativa L., L. serriola L., L. saligna L. and L. virosa L. . All of them are self-fertilized and diploids with 2n=2x=18 chromosomes. The Purpose of this study is the introduction of inberd line that title is cultivar. This study was carried out in Asgar Abad-Varamin during 2008-2009. The experiment was done with 5 cultivar or land race and the inberd line in completely randomized blocks design with 4 replications. Results showed that the inberd line is the best cultivar with yield 96 ton/ha.
