During data analysis of more than 30 years activities of I. V. 0 (Veterinary Organization Of Iran) on Bovine Tuberculosis control, it was found that there are some variation in incidence rate of B. Tb. that can not be defined by the level of control activities. So the probability of hidden cycle of B. Tb. was considered. In this report, under the review of literature title, the above mentioned evidence is wholy described and the target and hypothesis of the plan is defined. Within the execution of the study 142 rats and mice, 8 cats and 1 weasel were captured. All of the trapped animals were examined under the general anestesia and 5 rats were found infected. The lungs, mediastinal and mesantric nodes of all animals were cultured and 3 biovars of mycobacterium isolated. Beacuse of the technical limitations, typing. of only one of the isolates was completed, it was an unknown mycobacterium. Moreover, the parasitological examination of gastero - intestinal tract of all animals, revealed 4 differnt parasitic diseases (i.e.: Hydatigera ta eniaeform is, Syphacia obvelata, .Mathevo taenia and Hymenolepis diminuta). Since the rats captured in the contaminated dairy farms were found infected and micobacteria were isolated from them, while in the T. B. free areas no isolation or infected rodent was obtain, this survey can be asummed as a pilot study that showed some evidence concerning the relationship between burrower rodents B. Tb. ase well as public health hazards. This study also clarifies the necessity of more scientific surveys on rodents and their role as the resvoir host of diseases.
