This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Natuzyme Plus in diets containing wheat and canola meal on AME and Protein Digestibility, intestinal morphology characteristics, intestinal viscosity, and bacterial growth of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in caeca and broiler performance. For this, 360 one-day old Arbor Acres broiler chicks in 6 treatments, with 4 replicates and 15 birds per each replicate in a completely randomized design were used. Natuzyme 300 g/ton added to of: soy-corn based diet (control); diet containing 30% wheat and diet containing 30٪ wheat +10٪ canola. All diets met the National Research Council (NRC, 1994) recommendations. Body weight gain and feed intake, was determined weekly. Results showed that Natuzyme supplemented diet containing wheat and canola meal increased significantly feed intake and weight gain at starter and overall rearing period (P0.01). Natuzyme Plus in diets reduced significantly the relative weight of digestive organs. Enzyme preparation reduced digesta viscosity in the ileum of 21-day-old broiler chickens (P0.05). At starter, enzyme supplementation diet containing wheat or wheat + canola meal increased AME and protein digestibility, significantly (p0.05). The addition of Natuzyme to the diets significantly increased villus height. Natuzyme had significant effect only on Bifidobacterium numbers in the chicks of fed with wheat + canola meal. The results of this study indicate that the performance of broiler chickens fed to diets containing wheat or canola meal could be improve by supplementing with Natuzyme plus preparations.
