Khanzada, S.R.
During present studies it was observed the effectiveness of plant edible oils on developmental stages of pulse beetle and damage may cause in weight losses of grains of green gram. In results all the oils gave better results but among all these plant oils Rocket seed oil, statistically gave better results when compared with all other oils and control. Considering the effects of plant oils on the basis of various criteria, all the other oils under study were also appeared to be promising as grain protactants. The over all minimum adult emergence (1.81 plus minus 0.15) of pulse beetle was recorded in Rocket seed oil followed by in mustard oil (120.20 plus minus 28.54), sesame oil (162.45 plus minus 35.47) and in Coconut oil (192.61 plus minus 44.14), respectively.
