The results showed that, there is a varietal differences in the mechanisms of tolerance/resistance and strategies for the conversion of light energy into chemical energy in the studies barley cultivars under the influence of stressors. This studies allowed assessment of the suitability of some chlorophyll fluorescence parameters as reliable biomarkers for environmental stress tolerance
