In the research study, the contents of dietary fibre and its fractions were compared in seven varieties of Cornelian cherry fruits (Cornus mas L.) picked in 2007 and 2008. The contents of dry matter, solube solids, pectin, neutral dietary fibre (NDF) fraction acidic dietary fibre (ADF) fraction, and cellulose in the fruits were determined. Additionally, the contents of hemicellulose and lignins were computed, too. The analyzed varieties of cornelian cherry fruit contained different quantities of fibre and its fractions. The level of individual fractions and the content of dry matter, soluble solids, and pectins significantly depended on both the fruit variety and the harvest year. The highest content of natural and acidic fraction of dietary fibre was found in the Florianka variety. The highest contents of lignin was determined in the Florianka variety and lowest in the Paczoski variety
